What is meant by displacement and volume displacement



 Displacement or often referred to as immersion weight is the weight of the liquid that is moved by the ship's body which is below the surface of the liquid where the ship is located, or it can be said that displacement is the weight of the ship and its contents.

Dead Weight Tonage (DWT) or dead weight is the ship's ability to carry loads up to the maximum allowable draft, for example: Cargo (Cargo DWT), ballasts, fuel, fresh water, stores, food and others. (Operating Load).
